Bub's Cafe

The breakfast was great. Serving size very generous and cooked as requested. Our server was professional and friendly. Coffee was fresh and our order came out in a timely manner. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely go eat there again.

Love this spot!! Great breakfast had the ham & cheese omelet, outstanding. Best hash browns in my life. Great customer service staff is friendly. People need to support these small mom and pop spots and stop catering to the corporations. I try and eat here whenever I come to town.

On my way to TN I found this nice place on Elizabeth town. The place has a nice vibe, with a clean open kitchen, a quiet place to enjoy lunch. Service was very fast, personal very friendly and the food amazing. I ordered the special which it was roast beef, it was very good. The hamburger, melts, chicken sandwiches and salad were perfectly portioned and delicious. The turkey melt is probably our favorite!

Fast forward a year later to 11/29/23 My opinion hasn’t changed, this place is still great, I’ve been here many times and I have never left disappointed. My only complaint would be that when I retire I’ll have to drive further to get here. And with all the price hikes Bub’s has stayed reasonable and affordable. Breakfast below in photographs for under 10.00. Can’t beat it! OMG THE BACON! I’d probably come here and just order a plate of bacon! If you are a bacon lover and haven’t eaten here, you’re going to hate yourself for not coming sooner. Your tongue will jump out and slap your face for waiting until now! Seriously, very clean, excellent food, extremely polite and attentive staff. They know their customers by name. I missed places like this. 4/18/2024 I hate that you can only leave one review. One of the biggest things I will hate about retiring in July is not being able to get here as much. If I lived closer I’d never leave here. Before I do retire I’m going to find out where they get their bacon! The fact that this place is always busy is a testament to the quality of service and food. But the staff here manages to stay on top of everything. Very prompt, polite, and professional service. The food is always amazing, and as busy as it is there is always a relaxing, “welcome home” environment. It’s like Cheers, but for breakfast.

This is a family owned business. I am becoming a regular. I have made sure to sit in a specific area and the waitress and I are developing a good service relationship. She knows how I like my coffee and she keeps it coming piping hot. She is very conscious of the customers in her area and provides these touches to all of her customers. This is an excellent place to have breakfast or lunch.

We found Bub's Cafe while traveling and looking for a "breakfast near me" restaurant after we missed an exit to where we originally planned to go. We barely made it in time for breakfast (which stops at 11:00) and were quickly served our drinks and the food came soon after. The decor is a bit outdated, but the food was delicious! The bacon was cooked perfectly (for me) crispy, the eggs were not overcooked, the pancakes were just like I like them (with crispy edges), and the coffee was nice and hot. We are regularly traveling through Elizabethtown, KY and definitely plan to stop in here again.

What a diner should be, good food and service. Had biscuits and gravy and pancakes both were good. Loved the coffee too. Generous portions, good value.

On a road trip coming home we stopped, best price for a hamburger and daily special. Country fried steak had homemade mashed potatoes, hamburger was delicious!
